Tracy mageau

FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT

Tracy is a seasoned human resources leader, advisor and educator with more than 25 years of professional experience across private and public sectors. Both a visionary strategist and a hands-on operational leader, Tracy focuses on relationships and strives to understand the uniqueness of her clients to tailor solutions that meet her clients’ needs. 


Her industry background includes government, higher education, public relations & communications, financial services, IT consulting, and health care. Tracy is a trusted talent management leader with expertise in recruitment, performance management, leadership development, and organizational health and wellness. An authentic champion of diversity, equity and inclusion, Tracy is focused on leading organizations through cultural and systemic change. 

  

  

In her role as a Director with the NS Public Service Commission, Tracy led her team in the development of a corporate diversity, equity and inclusion strategy and education program for the Government of Nova Scotia. As the Director of Talent Management at Dalhousie University, Tracy was a key employment equity leader, implementing progressive equity education for faculty and staff as well as career opportunity programs for equity-deserving groups. 


A passionate educator with both corporate and academic teaching experience, Tracy has delivered corporate workshops on a wide range of HR topics, and she has been an academic instructor of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources in the Faculty of Management at Dalhousie and the Advanced Human Resources program at the Nova Scotia Community College.

  

Tracy holds a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources and Marketing from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and French from Saint Mary’s University. She is a Certified Feedback Coach (360 Leadership Assessments) and an Intercultural Development Index (IDI) Qualified Administrator. 


Tracy has actively supported immigrant and newcomer communities through her volunteer work with the Immigrant Settlement Association of Nova Scotia (ISANS), the Greater Halifax Partnership Connector Program, and the Growing Communities initiative with Dalhousie University.
